Touré: 48 hours’ rest

After the blow he received in the Recreativo game, Barça’s medical services have recommended that Touré Yaya should rest up for two days. As a result he won’t be playing for Ivory Coast this week.
In yesterday’s game the player suffered a bad blow to the head which left him groggy and required stitches.

The club’s medical services say that further tests today have ruled out any injury.

Nevertheless, the doctors have recommended no sports for 48 hours so Touré Yaya will not be travelling to Israel for Ivory Coast’s friendly on Wednesday.

In a statement the club said that "the player is expected to rejoin his team-mates for training on Wednesday after a final medical check”.
