Four wins on the trot again a year on

 
On Saturday Barcelona achieved its fourth win in a row this season, something it hasn’t done since exactly a year ago.
Sporting Lisbon, Sporting Gijon, Betis and Espanyol have all been beaten by Josep Guardiola’s side in the last fortnight.

Six wins in a row a year ago

The last time Barça won four in a row was a year ago when their winning spree eventually came to six on the trot. That time Olympique Lyon (3-0), Seville (2-1), Zaragoza (4-1), Levante (1-4), Stuttgart (0-2) and Atlético de Madrid (3-0) were the defeated sides.

This Wednesday the fifth win might come against Shakhtar Donetsk in the second Champions League group stage game.

14 goals in four games

FC Barcelona has found the net 14 times in these four games, which is an average of more than three goals per match. It has also conceded five.

Last year the team scored 18 and conceded three in the six games won between 19 September and 7 October 2008.
