Messi back to work

Messi back to work
Leo Messi, who did not travel to Krakow, trained this morning at La Masia as he seeks to get fit in time for the game with Numancia.
After returning from Beijing on Sunday , the Olympic champions Leo Messi donned his boots again under the watchful eye of the club’s fitness staff. Josep Guardiola had decided not to take Messi to Poland, as the team was scheduled to leave so soon after he returned from China, the Argentinian will be working hard in Barcelona in order to be ready to take his place in the squad in the league opener against Numancia.

Enthusiastic

Leo Messi appeared at La Masia at eleven in the morning, joined by fitness coaches, and also by Víctor Sánchez, who was also there for the workout.

He started with a bit of jogging, but was obviously keen to get working with the ball, and every time his run brought him close to one, he made sure of giving it a kick.

Ball comes into play

The Barça player then did some passing practice, first statistically and then in combination with a circuit. He then did a bit of target practice by aiming the ball at the crossbar.

Once this was over, he worked on accuracy, kicking one ball and then trying to kick a second as close as possible to the first.
