The team heads off to Scotland

The team heads off to Scotland
This Monday morning Barça left El Prat airport for Edinburgh. Leo Messi was in the party.
After early morning training, at 9.15 the team left the stadium to board the coach that was to take them to the airport. The plane left Barcelona under cloudy skies at 10.30 and is expected to arrive in Edinburgh at 12.30 Catalan time.

There are 51 people in the Barça party for Saint Andrews, including players, coaching staff, physiotherapists and medical services, although only 48 are travelling today as Xavi, Puyol and Iniesta are to join up with the group on 23 July.

Leo Messi travels with the team

One of the major figures on the trip this morning was Leo Messi, who travelled with the team while still waiting to see if he can play at the Olympics or not. For the moment Pep Guardiola has taken him to Scotland like any other Barça first team player.

In addition Marc Valiente has stayed in Barcelona to continue receiving treatment for a groin injury which has prevented him from working flat out in recent days.
