No rest on Saturday at La Masía

 
The first team has had a very tough training session this Saturday morning at La Masía, the last before they head off to Scotland.
The session began at 9.30 with a warm-up and circuit training followed by ball work in pairs. Next the players divided up into two groups and played keep-ball on a reduced pitch in order to practice putting opponents under pressure and getting the ball back.

Messi and Hleb come through tests

The session was not attended by Leo Messi and Alexander Hleb as they were doing medical checks and field tests at the Miniestadi alongside Samuel Eto'o, Dani Alves and Seydou Keita.

Henry, Touré and Márquez also missed out on the group session as they were doing an isokinetic test which measures leg strength; this monitoring is to be continued throughout the preseason and all first team players will have to do it.
