Back to training

The FC Barcelona first team trained at 11.00 this morning at La Masía. Iniesta and Milito, both with knee problems, were the main absentees.
At Old Trafford on Tuesday the Champions League campaign came to an end, and now the team has returned to work to focus on the remaining month of league fixtures. In order to do that as well as possible, Rijkaard ordered everyone to report for training on Thursday, only excusing the injured Ronaldinho and Jorquera, as well as Milito and Iniesta.

Knee troubles

These two both have knee problems and are being treated. Tests will be made and details of the exact extent of their respective injuries will be announced tomorrow. Meanwhile, Jorquera is still recovering and worked in isolation with a separate coach.

Possession and pressure

One of the main exercises of the day involved pressure and possession. The players divided into three teams of three and the two groups without the ball had to apply pressure to get the ball off the group that did. The players that started Tuesday’s match then returned to the dressing rooms while the substitutes stayed behind to play a short game.
