Pinto debuts for Barça

 
Riazor was the stage for the debut of José Manuel Pinto with FC Barcelona. The Andalus allowed in two goals in his first appearrance as a Barça player.
Presented on the 18th of January and after 23 appearances as a substitute he made his first appearance with a Barça shirt in the Riazor. He played from the start in a game in which Barça came out without many of their usual starting eleven, either through suspension or because Rijkaard had given them a rest after many games in a row.

Barça’s number 13 didn’t have the dreamed of debut, Barça having lost 2-0. But in the individual count Pinto completed a serious game under the bars and took part on 26 occasions. The goalkeeper made three good stops and stopped five attacks from the locals, whilst also knocking away three balls.
