Thuram called in
Lilian Thuram has been recalled to the FC Barcelona squad for the visit of Manchester United in the Champions League semi final on Wednesday evening as Carles Puyol is out through suspension and Edmílson has picked up a knock.
The rest of the Blaugrana squad contains few surprises as Thuram is the only new face included from the game against neighbours Espanyol at the weekend. Puyol is out after being booked in the last European game against Schalke 04. Coach Frank Rijkaard has chosen to rest Santi Ezquerro and Oleguer Presas for the midweek outing.
Last session before United
Barça’s first team squad trained on the Camp Nou pitch in the last session before the game against Manchester United and Edmílson was not present. The medical services informed the media that the Brazilian had suffered a slight strain and joined Ronaldinho and Albert Jorquera on the injured list.
