Oleguer gets green light

Rijkaard will be able to call on Oleguer for Wednesday’s game against Manchester United after the Barça defender got the green light from club doctors this Monday. That means the only players still on the treatment table are Ronaldinho and Jorquera.
Oleguer Presas has been given the green light after recovering from a second fracture in his left hand. The defender has been sidelined for a little more than a month with his hand immobilised. Oleguer was injured during the training session on 18 March when he received a blow in the same part of his hand which had been operated on previously.

Even though Oleguer hasn’t trained this Monday with the rest of his team-mates, he has been working out on his own at La Masia.

Only two injured

Oleguer’s return to the team means that Frank Rijkaard only has Ronaldinho and Jorquera still out injured. That means 21 first team players will be available for the first leg of Barça’s Champions League semi-final, as Carles Puyol is also missing but in his case due to suspension.
